Herbarium specimen of Scutellaria ovata Hill ssp. bracteata (Benth.) Epling, Heartleaf Skullcap, PH 01070965, at The Academy of Natural Sciences's Herbarium (PH), Botany Department, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
It was collected in Floyd County, Northwest Georgia, and identified by Francis W. Pennell (1886-1952) as Scutellaria versicolor Nutt., on August 4, 1912.
