Legal Status: (S1)- Critically imperiled in Georgia
Fruiting period: late May-early June
Description: "Perennial herb, stem simple 50cm-1m tall, smooth
or from the nodes pubescent. Leaves ovate-elliptic, opposite in more
than 6 pairs, 10-16 cm long, 5-9 cm wide with petiole. Flowers in 1-3
terminal umbels, 4-7 cm broad. Deep rose to purple corolla, lobes
7-10 mm long, reflexed, corona 5-8 mm wide, hoods 5-7 mm long and horns
shorter than hoods."
